KINDRED SPIRITS FOR

RACIAL JUSTICE

Creating the Beloved Community

As members in the Body of Christ we are called to deepen our relationships and celebrate our diversity.  Through the "Kindred Spirits for Racial Justice" movement in our church we offer opportunities for learning, conversation, advocacy, and friendship to grow across our racial differences.

In our first year we offered opportunities to explore white privilege and how it operates in our personal lives and our culture.  In this coming year we hope to build on that awareness through books study, film discussion, lectures and sharing meals and conversation together.  Stay tuned as we begin to plan our "Kindred Spirits 2.0" year!

January 19th at 7:30 pm - Join us for Kindred Spirits for Racial Justice Movie and Discussion Night!

Join us for a viewing and discussion of the 2017 film  I Am Not Your Negro based on the unfinished book Remember this House by James Baldwin.  Through Baldwin’s own words and archival footage, the film is a journey in black history that connects the past of the  Civil Rights movement to the present of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.  We look forward to a meaningful conversation together.
